Some Plugins return "Error: No display specified" and don't work!!!

Bug Description
When I use for example Google Maps or when i write an url to open in firefox do doesn't work and in the console i read ERROR: No Display Specified....

I'm willing to bet this is a problem with your xdg-open configuration. Try running this from the console:
xdg-open http://
If you get the same error message, then you need to file the bug upstream (or fix your local configuration).
