Bug Description

Do indexes evolution contacts just fine until a picture is assigned. After GD restarts the contact is not indexed.s

Sorry, I should have mentioned this. The picture has to be assigned to the Evolution contact to break the indexing.

Can you provide detailed steps to reproduce the error? As far as I know, the Evolution plugin works great when contacts have pictures.

Without a contact picture in Evolution everything is perfect. I even
have a picture in Pidgin that shows up in GD. When I add a pic to the
contact and restart GD I can only chat with that contact. When I remove
the pic and restart GD, everything works again.

What happens when you run GNOME Do without the pidgin plugin, with the evolution picture added. Still no contact?

How do you add the picture in Evolution - embedded or as a reference to a file? In the current implementation, given more than one photo for the same contact, GNOME Do takes the larger (file size) photo as a quality heuristic.

The behaviour is independent of the Pidgin plugin. All the permutations (installed or not, pic or not) all work (chat and email) if there's no picture on the Evolution contact. With a picture I can't email but I can chat if Pidgin's plugin is installed.
I've been linking both pictures to a local file. I'm not sure how to embed them. It doesn't matter if both pictures are the same.

Is this still a problem? I think everything should be fine with updated libevolution3.0-cil in Hardy.
