2016-08-21 00:19:51 PeterJCLaw description I've just (in-place) upgraded to Xenial from Trusty and noticed that the Shutdown command doesn't work. Having also just tried Lock Screen that does seem to work. On looking in `/var/log/syslog` there are some messages which look like the *might* be related (I'm guessing based on these being session management commands and Do being a Mono thing). The first try to shut down looks like it gave: Aug 21 00:53:45 Behemoth gnome-session[4578]: [Error 00:53:45.719] [SystemManagement] Could not get SystemManagement bus object: Could not load type 'GNOME.SystemManagement+ILogindProxy' from assembly 'DBus.Proxies, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' because it is implements the inaccessible interface 'GNOME.SystemManagement+ILogind'. Subsequent tries give: Aug 21 00:54:21 Behemoth gnome-session[4578]: [Error 00:54:21.838] [SystemManagement] Could not get SystemManagement bus object: Duplicate type name within an assembly. For reference I'm using the Compiz variant of the Flashback GNOME session rather than the default Unity one.
