Bug Description
We already have lp:907600 "Restore Magic Latern files after a format":

But as a step in that direction, we first need the importer to work correctly in the first place when Magic Latern is present. Currently our GStreamer-based `dmedia-extract` script will hang on certain Magic Lantern files, so this bug is to fix that and also add unit tests that use the Magic Lantern sample zip kindly provided by Julian Jansen a while back.
