Bug Description
Jason has been writing a database that can replace CouchDB and the backend Dmedia bits.
It's written in Rust and is ridiculously fast. It's a lot like Git (snapshots, content addressable storage, merkle trees everywhere). It's what you would get if Git, CouchDB, and Dmedia had a baby.
As a happy coincidence, GStreamer is also being steadily rewritten in Rust and you can already write plugins in Rust.
So you might think of this as a very tentative reboot of the Novacut project. No promises or timelines yet... just saying hello 😎
