Bug Description

Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-legacy

The command "sudo nvidia-glx-config enable" has to change the /etc/xorg.conf.
But it is still the "nv" driver active. The script has to change it in to "nvidia" driver.

Best regards.

here on a fresh edgy installation:

after installing nvidia-glx-legacy running the command "sudo nvidia-glx-config enable" (as mentioned in the package description) brings errors complaining about not suiting kernel-modules.

although manually changing xorg.conf to nvidia (instead of nv) works...

Hopefully from Feisty onwards people will be able to use restricted-manager which takes care of a few other problems (see Bug #91064 ) too...
