Oddity with remembering default active window

Compiz remembers the default active window when switching workspaces except in the following case: If you select a window on a workspace, the active windows on the workspaces on either side will become non-active. This is a seriously annoying bug.

Related to this, compiz appears to be grouping the workspaces together somehow. Thus if I do the following:

1, Switch to workspace n from n+1 or n-1
2. hit alt-f4
3. Watch the window on the last workspace you had open die, not the window on the current workspace, as you expected.

This is related to compiz not actually having real workspaces.
