Bug Description

Hi, I installed digiwf and i see a menu entry in my context menu in nautilus that says "edit metadata". However, when I click on it nothing happens, and I tried with different pictures, taken with different cameras. All dependencies seem to be satisfied along the installation, what can be the problem? Btw, I am on ubuntu lucid.

Hi Mausahid,

I have not tested DigiWf on Lucid yet.

It seems like I will have to look through my code again to ensure it plays correctly with the latest release of Ubuntu.

BR,

Stefaan

Hello Mausahid,

I have updated my PPA with a release for Lucid Lynx.

It seems to be working fine on my PC.

Could you please check that your /etc/apt/sources.list points to my Lucid PPA and check if you still get the error with the latest version?

Thanks,

Stefaan

Hi,
I checked and my sources list seems to point to the correct lucid ppa, however no update came up for digiwf. I uninstalled the old version, tried to remove and re-add the ppa, but still the version shown is 0.3.3-0ubuntu, and the edit metadata doesn't work for me in nautilus.
Which version should i be able to grab from the repos?

Many thanks again,
memfel

Have you verified if DigiWf works from the command line?

Open a terminal and then try:

digiwf imagefile.jpg

Where 'imagefile.jpg' is the file you wish to edit...

Hey,
I tried right now command line and I get this error...
/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/i486-linux/gtkmozembed.so: [BUG] Segmentation fault
ruby 1.8.7 (2010-01-10 patchlevel 249) [i486-linux]

Obviously something is wrong somewhere on my pc, but i don't know what to do. Do u have any idea? I re-installed ruby, but no change. Do i need to install smth more?

Many thanks,

 mausahid

I'm not able to reproduce the problem on my PC, so I'll try on a fresh install of Lucid...
