Bug Description

Seen on Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS.

I installed davical via apt and got version 1.1.10. PHP 8.1 was installed as a dependency. When I tried to view the setup page (setup.php), I expected to see the page showing the configuration status. Instead, I received a stack trace due to the function get_magic_quotes_gpc not being found.

This is a know bug in 1.1.10 of davical on PHP 8+ as the get_magic_quotes_gpc function was removed (https://gitlab.com/davical-project/davical/-/issues/234). This was addressed in davical version 1.1.11 (which also requires libawl-php version 0.63), but this version is not available in the repo.

I don't know how to update packages in a stable Ubuntu version. You may want to try installing the latest version from the davical-current repo, see https://people.debian.org/~fsfs/davical-current/setup.sh
