Bug Description
Analytics are key to the growth and evolution of the site, we need to have a performant analytics toolkit and this would start with link tracking.

To add to Thibaut's comment, Django CMS aggressively strips JS from plugin content.
A custom plugin type (eg. extending Raw HTML to allow JS) could be another option.

Just for clarity, I want to be able to track how many people download certain Ubuntu Core images by defining custom events in GA. The easiest way to do that is to create a tracking event in GA which requires some js to be run whenever someone clicks on a link.
If we cannot get js to run on a page ... then we need to look into alternative options :D
