Is it still supported? I tried it a while back on 14.04 and it didn't work. The same code works on 13.10.

The APIs are available on 14.04 Desktop only, and are deprecated after
13.10 really. As we move further into the converged desktop architecture,
we will surface and confirm more APIs. But for the time being, we advise
developers not to build new applications using them.

pulling the documentation makes dead links on the webapps guide (API and cookbook in the header from https://developer.ubuntu.com/en/web/ubuntu-webapps-guide/ ) and now there is no apparent documentation on how to enhance websites for displaying on Ubuntu for desktop or mobile. The desktop version might only support 14.04, but that is the current LTS. The API being used on phone based webapps does appear similar (it starts by getting external.getUnityObject(1) and then calling some methods on it) but it isn't clear what can be done from a locally declared and packaged webapp vs a regular website that just wants to render with some platform integration for Ubuntu.

I think this information could be moved to unity.ubuntu.com instead.
