Cannot share private snap

I need to distribute a proprietary snap to a group of people (Ideally ~canonical on Launchpad). I can create, upload and publish a private snap but there is no way to grant other people access to download it and keep it updated.

Hello Stuart,

The sharing we support is via collaboration, which grants RW permission to the collaborators. That way you can have others accessing a private snap.

Does the snap really needs to be private? Because if this is just for early testing, making it public in an edge channel would suffice, non-stable snaps are not returned in any search results.

Yes, this is proprietary software I need to make available. RW is not suitable as that would be a huge security hole (granting RW access to software automatically updated on dozens of peoples systems needs to be highly restricted)
