Does not work with mate DE

On upgrading to Mint 13 with the Mate desktop environment I find that DesktopNova and the tray icon both install and run fine - proper dialogues etc. But nothing happens to the wallpaper. The only module available is Gnome 0.2, my guess is that a Mate 0.2 needs to be created!
