Getting closer! below is a description of attached files...

netbook-classic is the requested capture

netbook-classic.png is a screen capture after logout/login

classic-netbook is the 2nd requested capture

error.png is the error presented after switch

classic-netbook.png is a screen capture again after logout/login

The only other thing to note was that when I made the switch from
netbook to classic, I did make two launchers on the desktop just in-case
the panels weren't there! they didn't get restored after the
logout/login...
