buildpdf should report the line number causing exception

Bug Description
Every once in a while, buildPdf (the itext java code) will throw an exception due to some string it doesn't understand.
It would be somewhat more helpful if it reported the line number where the incomprehensible string occurred.
This might require modification of ScanDataParser.
