Bug Description

Description:
When installing Ubuntu 18.04 (ubuntu-18.04-live-server-amd64.iso) through Dell iDRAC Virtual Media, the installer (subiquity) crashes and restarts.

Note - By default, enabling iDRAC Virtual media exposes a Virtual Floppy as well.
This will be 0bytes unless a physical pendrive is mapped to it.

Steps:
Setup a DellEMC PE server.
Attach the installer iso through Virtual Media.
Start installing and observe the installer going back to Language page in a continuous cycle.

Expected Results:
Successful installation

Additional Info:
* If a physical pen drive is mapped to the Virtual Floppy (i.e say 8GB) then this crash is not observed.

* Attaching the logs. Let me know if anything more is required.

* Looks like a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/subiquity/+bug/1767295.
Keeping this to track from Dell.

Installation through Physical DVD without enabling the Virtual Media/Virtual Floppy also helps in proceeding with the installation.

Hi, I think I've fixed this in git, can you try the ISO at https://people.canonical.com/~mwh/live-server-lp-1767295.iso ?

Hi @mwhudson -
Thank you for the quick response. I tried installation with the above shared iso for 3-4 times and I am observing positive results. Installation proceeds and is successful in the server where the issue was seen before.

Can you please point me to the fix-commit?

I also want to know how this fix can be released to the customers to help them install Ubuntu 18.04 Server on DellEMC servers through Virtual Media?
Any timeline that can be committed?
