Bug Description

Hi there,

I'd like to custom my PC environment as I always do by configuring the number of Desktops or mapping some special keys to certain works and so on. I guess the configurations related to gnome preferences, are saved in gconf, but in my case they are reflash when I reboot the PC.

Specifically the next ones:
  - # desktops: I use to use 9 desktops (3rowsx3columns) to work on my own. When I reboot the defaults are restored (2 desktops with 3x1 config)
  - Windows key: I have mapped the windows key to run a gnome-terminal. When I reboot, the bindign doesn't work.

My system:

$ uname -a
Linux myhost 2.6.24-19-lpia #1 SMP Mon Nov 3 15:25:26 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

I use GNOME as desktop.

It would be useful if you could provide a detailed test case.

Thanks!

For example, when you say:

Windows key: I have mapped the windows key to run a gnome-terminal. When I reboot, the bindign doesn't work.

It would be useful to know how you remapped the keys and specifically what bindings you changed.

Thanks

I cannot replicate. I set 9 desktops and they were perfectly working and visible after reboot. I disabled maximus, I am not sure if that is the source of the problem. I will try with maximus enabled and report back.
