Bug Description
With the new version of GDebi for the Dell mini (available as a result of bug 297018), i386 packages can now be installed manually (either with GDebi or dpkg). However these packages are not recognized by apt nor Synaptic, so uninstalling them is fairly impossible.
So the safest procedure is still that of converting the i386 packages into lpia before installing them (and having them recognized in apt). But it would be much better if apt would also recognize i386 packages manually installed through this new GDebi or dpkg.
