Bug Description

The stable version of duplicity has a google docs backend: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~duplicity-team/duplicity/0.6-series/view/head:/duplicity/backends/gdocsbackend.py

It would be nice to be able to use this from Deja Dup.

Would that not violate Google's Terms of Service? http://www.google.com/accounts/TOS (section 5.3)

It's using the gdata python library: http://code.google.com/p/gdata-python-client/ to use the Google Docs API: http://code.google.com/apis/documents/ .

Isn't that an "interface that is provided by Google"?

More the "You specifically agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of the Services through any automated means (including use of scripts or web crawlers)" part. But actually, Google's new TOS that takes effect on March 1st doesn't seem to have that line.
