Bug Description

This is a feature request to put a checkbox for this duplicity option.

This option is useful because it prevents the backing up of sysfs, devfs, encrypted (unencrypted) homes, gvfs etc.

Without this, backing up a system (as opposed to a home directory or some directory) would require many exclusions. So this makes the job very easy!

I wish to take on this task. I will need some help so any initial guidance would be cool. How do I get the code and make a commit, please?

Hi, Shahar! I'd love to help you. So there is some guidelines here: http://live.gnome.org/DejaDup/GettingInvolved/Coding

DD tries to do a lot of this magically by default. See the list of default excludes in the help documentation. We do automatically exclude /sys, /proc, /dev, and ~/.gvfs. So I'm not sure how much this option would buy us.

Additionally, this isn't a simple choice. To add a preference for it would be to ask a question of our target non-technical users that they likely won't understand.

I'd be interested in perhaps just automatically using the flag. But then I worry that some users would all of a sudden not be backing up what they thought they were backing up (if they have some mount they assumed would be included).
