Bug Description

II found a new (for me) software similar to deja-dup.
The name of this is "Time-Drive" http://www.oak-tree.us/blog/index.php/science-and-technology/time-drive

Time-Drive use as deja-dup duplicity, it's written in python and use launchpad for development.
I think time-drive is a one-man-project as deja-dup. Why don't collaborate for a single /fantastic / simple backup tool?

Michael Terry (mterry) wrote :

The two development teams have talked to each other about collaboration. Time Drive didn't discover Deja Dup until after its first release. By then, it had used a different mechanism to talk to duplicity, a different language, and targeted a different toolkit. So not much was sharable. It was decided that the two projects would continue to be different entities, one targeting GNOME and one KDE.

Not that I'm opposed to further collaboration, but that's the history of it.
