Bug Description

I am experiencing this bug reported on Debian: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=746796

Manually starting the backup from the GUI works fine but automatic backups don't trigger. Starting the GUI gives a notification message saying that the automatic backup failed and will start when a network connection becomes available. My backups are stored on a samba share which is why deja dup wants a network connection.

Can you reproduce this on something newer? Like maybe try the snap package? 34.2 is quite old at this point, and I honestly may have fixed this and forgotten about it.

To switch to the snap version:

snap install deja-dup --classic
sudo apt-get remove deja-dup
