Hmm, this looks like an issue with the google drive libraries used by duplicity in Ubuntu 18.04:

Could you try the snap version, which has an updated method of talking to Google?

sudo apt remove deja-dup
snap install deja-dup --classic

Changed in deja-dup:
status: New → Incomplete

I had continued to look into this after my comment. The root cause looks like https://github.com/googleapis/google-api-python-client/issues/803, but I just released a hotfix snap fix.

I was hoping you would be slower and end up testing it after my hotfix went out, but maybe you were too fast.

Can you run the following and make sure you've got revision 297 or higher, and then try one more time, please?

snap refresh deja-dup

Thank you for all the comments! I might have accidentally added a regression that undid my previous fix. Try now, with revision 316?
