Hello Sergey,

it seems that you might need to install "deja-dup-backend-gvfs".

Please open a Terminal make it as width as possible and show us the output of "dpkg -l deja-dup duplicity deja-dup-backend-gvfs", so we can see if you suffer from this problem.

Best Regards

Vej

I am also having the "No module named repository" issue when trying to make backups. Here is the output from my dpkg command:

dpkg -l deja-dup duplicity deja-dup-backend-gvfs
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend
|/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name Version Architecture Description
+++-============================================-===========================-===========================-=============================================================================================
ii deja-dup 34.2-0ubuntu1 amd64 Back up your files
ii deja-dup-backend-gvfs 34.2-0ubuntu1 all Remote server support for Déjà Dup
ii duplicity 0.7.10-0ubuntu0ppa1240~ubun amd64 encrypted bandwidth-efficient backup

I have used synaptic to do a re-install of these packages but it did not help.

as "deja-dup --backup" works well from the Terminal for me, I assume it might be something in Python pathes system-wide

I don't know if this is relevant or not, but the last time I launched Deja-Dup, an external USB disk drive was not online. I got a prompt that Deja-Dup was waiting for it to become ready. After I readied it, that is when I got the "No module named repository" error.

Running "deja-dup --backup" from a command line yields the same errors for me.

Hmm, ok. So this looks like a disconnect between the system and your local pip modules. I'm closing this? I could imagine we could do something smarter here. But that would maybe be on the duplicity side, which is where all the python is.
