Bug Description

Ubuntu 14.04 - GRUB dual boot with W10 (formerly W7)
I have actually solved this problem but since I could not find the solution anywhere I thought it might be helpful to some to report my findings.
Deja Dup weekly backup (for the Ubuntu system) to a second internal HD started failing sometime after I upgraded W7 to W10.
The Deja Dup error message was quite long but the bottom line was that it could not find the path to the folder in which I had been saving my backups.
And I couldn't mount the second drive to examine the folders.
After much troubleshooting, I got the idea that W10 was leaving the second HD in a strange state - different than it did with W7.
It turns out that W10, by default, doesn’t do a complete shutdown - I was suspicious.
I booted into W10 and found (not easily) the place to make W10 do a full shutdown.
I changed that by unchecking the appropriate box.
I rebooted to Ubuntu and the problem seems to have been solved.
Here is the link to the question "how to fully shut down W10":
http://windowsten.info/tutorials/5767-how-to-fully-shut-down-windows-10
I used his second method because I wanted to have this happen EVERY time I shut down W10.
I hope this helps someone.
Walt

Thanks for the report and the research! I'm cleaning up some old bugs and since this doesn't need any action from our end, I'll close this. Thanks.
