Bug Description

I just upgraded a Toshiba Tecra laptop from Ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10 64-bit.

After restarting then logging in, the laptop became very sluggish, so I thought it crashed. But, it was still running very slowly. I connected via SSH, and ran top, and found that deja-dup-monitor was using up several GB of memory. I killed it, and then everything ran fine.

Ubuntu 13.10

deja-dup 27.3.1-0ubuntu1
duplicity 0.6.21-0ubuntu4.1

Note while doing the requested command to get deja-dup GSettings, I found that ~/.cache/dconf was owned by root. I changed it to be owned by my user. Not sure if that contributes to the original bug or not.
