Do not run the command in comment #3! As Tom notes, that will delete a lot of configuration data for all of your programs, not just Deja Dup.

This error is happening during Deja Dup's test restore. In each backup, it includes this tiny file and after each backup, it tries to restore it. This is a way to verify that the backup is restorable on at least a basic level.

Tom, from your log, it looks like your backup got interrupted/stopped? So it was incomplete, but then Deja Dup tried its verification process anyway and (obviously) had a problem restoring from the incomplete backup. Does that ring a bell?
