When using the integrated backup tool in ubuntu 12.04 for Backup, deja dup, the system gies to sleep while backup is running.

I'm having the same problem. Shouldn't the backup system prevent the computer from going to sleep(suspending)?

It should be possible to implement this feature with systemd inhibitor locks: https://freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/inhibit/

Backing up to remote ssh location and havin Deja-Dup allowing suspension results in broken pipe. So backup fails each time.

Specially when using automatic regularly backups, i can't turn suspension off manually each time it backs up automatically.

..So I ask myself if this is not rather a bug instead of a feature request.
