Bug Description

Please remove Encoding from desktop file.

          o /usr/share/applications/decibel-audio-player.desktop:2 Encoding

You could use desktop-file-validate to have it with freedesktop standards.

Thanks

How does Gnome find the encoding of the strings in the .desktop file without an encoding field?

The strings must be encoded in UTF-8.

See http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/desktop-entry-spec-latest.html#deprecated-items.

"The Encoding key is deprecated. It was used to specify whether keys of type localestring were encoded in UTF-8 or in the specified locale. Possible values are UTF-8 and Legacy-Mixed. See Appendix D, The Legacy-Mixed Encoding (Deprecated) for more details."
