xfig crashes when opening an old .fig file

xfig crashes when opening the attached .fig file, either from the command line or from the menu.
I've found two files with this problem so far, while several others are fine.
The file was created years ago with an older version of xfig and not manipulated.
fig2dev with target PDF works on it without a problem.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Your bug comes from the fact that in your example kanal-empf.fig you want to draw a dash-dot line and xfig in Ubuntu 14.04 bugs in this case. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfig/+bug/1317825 and an easy solution is given in http://rlog.rgtti.com/2014/06/26/quick-fix-xfig-bug/
