Bug Description

When I put a terminal against the top panel, and resize it so that it to the full height of the screen, a zoomed version of the top right of the Terminal window appears at the bottom left of the screen.

This does not happen with other applications.
The problem disappear if I turn on the screen composer in the XFCE settings.

FYI, this looks like a Terminal problem non-specific to Ubuntu. Same exact issue on Fedora 17 with both XFCE Terminal and LX Terminal. Gnome Terminal does not have the issue.

Same problem here - also on AMD64 with the Ubuntu fglrx driver, running lightdm and lxde, and when resizing lxterminal windows.

Sorry for the double post, not sure how to use launchpad yet. Anyways,

OP reported similar problem using nvidia drivers, even though I have the same problem using fglrx.
Several users reported that enabling display compositing works to stop the artifacts, I can confirm this on Debian Wheezy.

The problem was apparently fixed on Oneiric's release, which is good. I suppose this can be marked as closed?
