Bug Description

The searx program currently segmentation faults whenever it's run directly by `uwsgi` executed as a system daemon, but it also segmentation faults when executed directly as the `uwsgi` process.

This in turn is breaking its autopkgtests, and in turn prevents other applications (such as nginx) from migrating out of proposed due to failing autopkgtests.

Autopkgtests were run locally, and the crash dump will be uploaded here shortly from within the local autopkgtests directory.

Because the application fails autopkgtests and cannot start even when directly installed into a server and configured to work with uwsgi, I am marking this as a "High" importance. (Feel free to override if you disagree)

Debian has found the same report in the upstream searx package:

https://github.com/asciimoo/searx/issues/929

However the reported issue *there* is more than a year old, without any action on it.
