Bug Description

The autopkgtests contain a "sleep 1" prior to the actual checks. However, ranger may not start immediately which can mean that the tests may run too soon.

The attachment "ranger-1-1.9.3-3ubuntu1.debdiff" seems to be a debdiff. The ubuntu-sponsors team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review and hopefully sponsor the debdiff. If the attachment isn't a patch, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the "patch" tag, and if you are member of the ~ubuntu-sponsors, unsubscribe the team.

Thanks for your bug work, since the package is currently in sync with Debian and the issue impact them as well could you forward your fix there, ideally they would take it and we could continue importing their version without overhead

The sponsors queue is created by looking at bugs to which the Ubuntu Sponsors team is subscribed. I've gone ahead and removed their subscription (something only a member of the team can do).

This happens with the ranger autopkgtests on stable releases too so I'm going to go ahead and hint it.

This autopackagetest problem is still evident. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=986844 has been ignored by Debian maintainers.

As ranger is again blocking other packages we should go ahead and fix it in Ubuntu first.
