Bug Description

dump_certificate_request() for an unsigned CSR is failing on 3.4.8-1ubuntu1 in distro
but is successful against upstream 3.4.8.

I have a test here that can be run against upstream as well as distro packages.

I've also reported this to debian:

Thank you,
Corey

I've just tried this on a fresh lunar LXC and got the same error (python3-openssl 23.0.0-1 and python3-cryptography 38.0.4-2). I got no error using either tox -e py308 or tox -e py311. I didn't investigate further.
