I'm not sure to this change:

  * Dropped changes (superceded in Debian):

      + Added support for python2.6 by updating XS-Python-version

Hi! In previous versions of Debian package XS-Python-version was 2.5,
this does not allow to compile for >>2.6, you can see in:

http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/debian-med/trunk/packages/mgltools/vision/trunk/debian/control?revision=4215&view=markup

Now, XS-Python-version is >= 2.5
