Subject: debian-installer: [netboot-x86] there is a module versioning issue in 2.6
and 2.4 netboot images.
Package: debian-installer
Severity: important
( i've runed the installer in expert mode only, ( tried expert and
expert26 on both rc2 and today's snapshot ))
there is a module versioning issue in 2.6 and 2.4 netboot images for x86
of the debian-installer in the rc2 release and in today's snapshot.
i've detected the issue on:
ide-core
xfs
reiserfs
ext3
this doesnot allow a user to install debian on a ide hardisk.
by forcing the module to modprobe ( -f ) i get the desired behavior.
that's all for the bad things =)
i've tested installing by a wireless network, except that bug it works
as hell, thank you so much for the debian-installer.
cheers.
