Bug Description

Binary package hint: libsql-statement-perl

A simple update of a CSV delimited file incorrectly makes value of column on 2nd and subsequent rows null.

sl2 % lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04
sl2 %

sl2 % apt-cache policy libsql-statement-perl
libsql-statement-perl:
  Installed: 1.15-3
  Candidate: 1.15-3
  Version table:
 *** 1.15-3 0

Attached is a compressed tar including a apport-cli file, the output of apt-show-versions and the simplest code I could put together to demonsrate the problem. Unpack and "make" for instructions. The content of the zupdate.sh file is plainly understood. Output from when I run the test is included.

Bug is *not* evident in libsql-statement-perl 0.1020-2 Debian Woody.
Bug applies also to libsql-statement-perl 1.15-2 Ubuntu Hardy.

I suppose problem could perhaps be in another module such as libdbd-csv-perl
