Comment 38 for bug 15051

I would like to add my voice to those who find it perplexing that two-and-a-half years have passed since the first reporting of this bug, and still it remains outstanding. In particular, I am disappointed that the version of grep in the LTS server distribution does not support pcre.

Surely this is important enough to do something about?
