Binary package hint: gpointing-
I have installed gpointing-
However, I can launch it from a terminal.
PS : I am using Ubuntu 11.04.

I would imagine this is likely due to the fact that gpointing- device- settings' desktop file include the following line:
OnlyShowIn=GNOME
(I also note that this prevents it from appearing in Unity's dash)
I have attached a bug watch to a bug in Debian, which is requesting that XFCE should be included as well.
