Please merge gnome-chemistry-utils 0.8.5-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)

Reason for the exception?
- The patch for the crash (Fix a crash appearing with the export and the print dialog and any video crads except NVidia ones)
- The missing .glade files
- Fixes compilation with GCC 4.3
- Others little changes in the Debian changelog.

gnome-chemistry-utils (0.8.4-4) unstable; urgency=low

   * debian/control: Added a libgcu-dbg package to ship the debugging symbols.
     (Standards-Version): Updated to latest 3.7.3 (no changes necessary).
   * debian/libgcu0.install: Added missing image*.glade files. Thanks to Jean.
   * debian/libgcu-doc.doc-base: Fixed some lintian warnings by removing extra
     (leading) spaces.
   * debian/rules: Added LDFLAGS = -Wl,--as-needed to avoid useless
     dependencies. Added some more flags to make sure, there are no unresolved
     symbols.
     (binary-arch): Put all debugging symbols into the new libgcu-dbg package.
     Make sure, we will never again miss some files.
     (binary-indep): Removed dh_strip and dh_shlibdeps, which are useless for
     our doc package.
   * debian/patches/03_452939_fix_gcrystal_print_export_crash.dpatch: Added.
     - gcu/glview.cc, gcu/glview.h: Fix a crash appearing with the export and
       the print dialog and any video crads except NVidia ones (closes:
       #452939). Further fixes the object dimensions in exported images.
   * debian/patches/00list: Adjusted.

So is the Depends really the only thing that is needed to make the
plugin work in firefox, no symlinks to the firefox plugins directory or
so? If that really is the case, I guess that wouldn't hurt much and
make Ubuntu maintenance easier. Otherwise, please send a complete
patch.

I'm pretty sure, that just changing the Depends line is not enough. But "about:plugins" will tell us/you.

What is the point of pasting debdiffs without addressing other people's question? The only functional part of the debdiff is simply adding "firefox" as an *alternative* of gcu-plugin's dependency. What is the rationale for this change?

This is clearly unaccetable for Debian, as they ship iceweasel, not
firefox. If you want to have a patch applied in Debian that makes this
package a mere sync, provide a diff that is known to work on both Debian
and Ubuntu. Or did I miss something, and the above will work fine for
Debian's iceweasel?

Exactly, it needs always a change in Ubuntu.. because only changing the Depends on gcu-plugin isn't the only thing to change. A patch which that lsb_release matchs "Ubuntu" as the distro and apply it do Debian dir when compiled, am I right? :)

Yeah, it was my bad on the merge. I forgot about the symlinks. We will indeed need to have Ubuntu changes as long as we have the iceweasel/firefox diff. I generally like just adding on firefox rather than replacing so that we minimize the delta from Debian. I think we should wait until 0.8.5-1 is uploaded to sid and then merge.

I would rather just add on firefox dependencies/dirs/links rather than replacing iceweasel. There is a chance gobuntu will be using iceweasel and I feel it's better to keep Debian information where possible.
