Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.

I saw the same warnings when installing freecad on Ubuntu Trusty, so I'm marking this as confirmed. However it doesn't seem to be blocking installation as the freecad was installed and started when I launched it here. Could you please check whether this is the case for you as well?

I also found that this issue had been reported in the Debian BTS, so I attached a bug watch.

I can confirm Hans Joachim findings, even when the package outputs some warning it doesn't prevent the installation to finish.
I'll assign a 'low' importance. Feel free to commend if you've additional data.

Thanks for taking the time to improve Ubuntu.

As per the upstream bug report, this issue has been fixed. I no longer get the error message when installing freecad 0.14.3702+dfsg-1 on Ubuntu 14.10. Therefore I am closing this as Fixed Released.

If you need a fix for the bug in previous versions of Ubuntu, please look into the SRU Procedure [1] to bring the need to a developer's attention. Though, SRUs are mainly for small/easy patches which need to be applied to older releases, and I don't know how easy it is to apply the fix in Simulation.py.
