Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

Hi,

I upslug2 the jaunty final firmware to my slug. I have attached two usb keys plug on it.
When installer appears, I select expert mode, and load modules:
- partman-md
- partman-auto-raid
- mdcfg
- storage-core-...

I configure the partititon scheme as:
SCSI1 (0,0,0) (sda) - 16.2 GB TDKMedia Trans-It Drive ↑ │
  │ > #1 primary 10.0 GB K raid ▒ │
  │ > #2 primary 1.0 GB K raid ▒ │
  │ > #3 primary 4.0 GB K raid ▒ │
  │ > #4 primary 1.2 GB f ext3 / ▒ │
  │ SCSI2 (0,0,0) (sdb) - 16.2 GB TDKMedia Trans-It Drive ▒ │
  │ > #1 primary 10.0 GB K raid ▮ │
  │ > #2 primary 1.0 GB K raid ▒ │
  │ > #3 primary 4.0 GB K raid ▒ │
  │ > #4 primary 1.2 GB K raid ↓

but when I choose "Configure RAID", then it appears the error:
"Multidisk (MD) not available"
│ The current kernel doesn't seem to support multidisk devices. This │
│ should be solved by loading the needed modules.

No more RAID modules are present to load. So I think it's a bug. I can't pass to this step because I want RAID in my slug.

Regards,
Xan.

PS: I put some output.

Perhaps this [http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=524342] is the same bug in debian. Anyone with technical skills could see that? If it's perhaps we should marks this bug as depended from that.

Thanks a lot,
Xan.

Hi,

Sorry, we don't support the NSLU2 in Ubuntu anymore as we switched our toolchain to ARMv6 + VFP so I'm closing this bug in Ubuntu.

Loïc,

Although you don't support NSLU2 I think this bug is general of d-i in arm arch. Please, confirm it to another subarchitechture: arm6 and so.
