Bug Description

name: slowmovideo

description: slowmoVideo is an open source program that creates slow-motion videos from your footage. It does not simply make your videos play at 0.01× speed. You can smoothly slow down and speed up your footage. slowmoVideo tries to find out where pixels move in the video (this information is called Optical Flow) and then uses this information to calculate the additional frames.

This bug is tagged needs-packaging which identifies it as a request for a new package in Ubuntu. As a part of the managing needs-packaging bug reports specification, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/Specs/NeedsPackagingBugs, all needs-packaging bug reports have Wishlist importance. Subsequently, I'm setting this bug's status to Wishlist.

Ubuntu can't accept binary DEB packages, there has to be Debian source package, so we probably can't reuse the DEB they provide.

There is a PPA on Launchpad as mentioned in the download section of http://slowmovideo.granjow.net/ The PPA is https://launchpad.net/~brousselle/+archive/ubuntu/slowmovideo but not supporting actual version Trusty Tahr (14.04) (yet?) but versions from Precise up to Saucy.
I am not sure if this might help for further packaing or not.

Greetings, Michael

You might want to take a look at http://www.getdeb.net meanwile. You can find .debs for Ubuntu 15.10 and 16.04 (at this very moment!). I know it is 3rd party but at least it works.
