Chandler is a team (or personal) organiser consisting of a desktop client and a server.
Their team have made debs for 6.06 and 7.10, so there probably is not a lot of work to get this into Universe.

Chandler is currently at Debian awaiting a volunteer to maintain it before packaging and enrty into the Debian Archives. Once Debian packaging is complete, Ubuntu should pick up the new package automatically for the next release.

Please be aware that there is a *lot* of software awaiting packaging, and that most -including this one- are waiting for a volunteer maintainer to step forward. If you would like to volunteer to maintain this (or any) package in Debian or Ubuntu, simply add a comment to the bug and see http://www.debian.org/doc/maint-guide/ . You don't need to be a developer or programmer, just willing to learn and act as a liason between the upstream project and Debian.
