Hi littlewiki,
where's your bazaar branch? I have given a call for the package at
ubuntuforums so you should see some people coming to your corner.

Looking forward to hear from you on the same.

Just read on http://www.spicebird.com/en-US/spicebird/roadmap that Spicebird is to get an MS Exchange server connector in the future. This sounds VERY interesting to me.

Testing Evolution and the OWA connector for a year now, I would say it's far from being of any use for productive use here. Since there is no currently no alternative in Ubuntu if you have to work with Exchange, I still have to use an MS Windows machine.

My experience is that once a package is in Ubuntu's repos, it automatically receives attention - testers come and report bugs and development cycles speed up.

littlewiki, i'm having some problems with installing spicebird on jaunty; http://pastebin.com/m4af8ae1a
I do have a few ppa's activated, so if anyone else could try installing spicebird as well would be great.

Hi Pelle.k,

Which PPA are you installing it from? I have tested it for jaunty last and a new release is(0.8) is going to be out soon.

Are you using this PPA: https://edge.launchpad.net/~lil.wk/+archive/ppa

This is a strange "bug", the problem comes from using aptitude to install spicebird! Using apt-get to install it works perfectly. How odd!
Using aptitude: http://pastebin.com/m33dae55c
Using apt-get: http://pastebin.com/m5519a154

So unless someone uses aptitude to install spicebird from your repo, there's nothing wrong with it. :)
