Bug Description

Hi!

Would it be possible to include php5-symfony into gutsy? You can find more information about it at http://www.symfony-project.com. They even already have debs available which work great!

Thanks a lot!

I've tagged your bug with "needs-packaging".

More info on requesting new Universe packages: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/Packages/Candidates

Would it be possible to package this for Hardy? :)

I will create deb package for that.

Hi,
I noticed the project is in sid, so no need to package it again a sync will be enough, isn't it

Although 1.1 is the latest version and debian has 1.0.x.. :)

The package is broken (not sure if it's broken in Debian too):

 - Lots of "exec: 28: /usr/bin/php: not found" during the build.
 - Lots of files installed into /symfony in the package afterwards.

Martin Meredith (mez) wrote :

Daniel, where are you getting this build log from?

The build has no need to call PHP, it's an arch-indep package.

The package on symfony's website are broken, they're actually built manually, rather than through a source package ;(

Debian sid WILL have 1.1, but at the moment, 1.0 is the current Stable release (as 1.1 is new out the door)

As soon as I've gone through all the licencing issues for 1.1, then it'll be available in sid as an option for install...

I downloaded the package from unstable and built it in an intrepid pbuilder.

the other bug has been closed, is this one unblocked now?

Should be fine now... dholbach - care to look over?

Martin: you're a MOTU too, if the bug is fixed now, just say 'ACK' in the bug if the sync should be done and is safe to do.

I hadn't had a chance to check over, and was away at Reading Festival.
I'll generally always check now
