I know this seems quite confusing, but AppArmor is a complete securtiy framework wich includes a kernel module, utilities to manage profiles, documentation, a set of profiles for various programs, etc. The only binary included in this package is 'apparmor-parser', the parser for AppArmor. May be it's not very clear for non-techies, but this is a good short description and that should be obvious for system administrators for whom this tool is meant.
