(Invalid) Cannot mount .img image, endless root password prompt.

Using manjaro linux, ddrescue-gui 2.1.0 from arch AUR.
Trying to mount an .img file using the gui menu option, I get a root password request that never ends, if I run the program as normal user.
If I run it as root I get this:

The .img file is of a full disk, with multiple partitions.

Is the commandline tool "kpartx" installed on your system? This looks to me like it is not - there is a bug where infinite recursion will occur if dependencies aren't met, so perhaps the AUR package doesn't have all the dependencies in the list.

Yes, that was it, needed to have the multipath-tools package installed that provides kpartx.
Now I get just 5 or 6 password prompts when trying to mount an image that has several partitions, but it works. Thank you for this little great software.

Ah good to hear. I don't know who maintains the AUR package but I could let them know to add multipath-tools to the dependency list then.

Already did that myself, will probably be updated very soon, as the person maintaining was quick to respond to a previous request to update the package on AUR.
