I undid-the duplicate; the other bug was about upgrading beyond sha-1 signatures and 1024 bit DH keys, and that's been done.

After I added the new key I have trouble fetching from ddebs using 14.04 LTS:

W: Failed to fetch http://ddebs.ubuntu.com/dists/trusty/main/binary-amd64/Packages Hash Sum mismatch

W: Failed to fetch http://ddebs.ubuntu.com/dists/trusty/universe/binary-amd64/Packages Hash Sum mismatch

Thanks

(I've done the usual rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* ; service squid-deb-proxy stop ; rm -rf /var/cache/squid-deb-proxy/* ; service squid-deb-proxy start and re-tested with similar results.)

I think your mirror or proxy was broken, it worked fine yesterday, no hash sum mismatch. Not sure about the Writing more data than expected thing, but that seems like a mirror/proxy/isp/whatever issue as well.

There were a lot of changes since 1.2.7, and no further updates here, so I assume the bug has been fixed, or it was just a connectivity issue after all. If anything changes, reopen the bug or open a new one.
