Bug Description

I recently tried to use dc++ while using a socks server for outgoing connections, and I noticed that this doesn't seem to be working. I have set up my putty client as a socks server, and this seems to be working quite well for my browser etc., but it doesn't seem to work at all with dc. Immediately upon trying to connect somewhere, dc++ notes 'the requested address is not valid in its context'.
Could you please look into this? I hope this is enough information. Can perform additional tests if necessary.

I can replicate this behavior with (BC)DC++ 0.797.

I think I saw someone else reporting this as well, but now when I tested it, everything to work just fine with AirDC++ and DC++

Or actually DC++ isn't able to connect to any NMDC hub but my patch for https://bugs.launchpad.net/dcplusplus/+bug/1245179 seems to fix that issue as well (when it's applied without poy's modification)

Is this still an issue, per comment #3?

I believe that this specific problem has already been fixed
